This Privacy Policy explains how Mizobox collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: Name, email address, password hash, role, and profile settings for creator accounts.
- Content data: Uploaded files, titles, descriptions, share codes, and related metadata.
- Usage data: App opens, play/download sessions, ad verification events, IP/device signals used for rate limiting and fraud prevention.
- Support data: Tickets, withdrawal requests, and abuse reports you submit.
2. Mobile Player App Privacy (No Account Required)
If you use the Mizobox mobile player app (Android / iOS) to stream and view shared media:
- No account or login is required.
- Playback history, recent files, and saved shared folders are stored strictly locally on your device.
- Third-party advertising is provided via Google AdMob in accordance with Google's ad policies.

3. How We Use Information
We use information to provide and secure the Services, process payouts, prevent abuse, measure ads/earnings, improve product quality, and communicate service updates.
4. Sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, payment processors, ad networks) under contractual protections.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect users and the platform.
- Other parties with your direction (for example, sharing a public share link).
We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use local storage and essential session tokens strictly for authentication and preferences on web surfaces.
6. Data Retention & Media Lifecycle
We retain account and content data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion subject to legal holds and backup cycles.
Media Lifecycle: Raw source video uploads are retained temporarily during the transcode and validation pipeline. Upon successful generation and verification of the web-optimized playback video, the raw source upload is permanently deleted from our servers. Non-video files and processed playback assets are retained until deleted by the creator or removed in response to policy or legal violations.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and signed playback grants. No method of transmission or storage is 100%% secure.
8. Your Choices
You can update profile settings, request data deletion via support, and control device permissions for the mobile apps.
9. Children
Mizobox is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not create an account if you are under that age.
